2x4 Santa Claus...

                                                                My 2x4 Santa Claus:
I think he turned out darling!!!

His hat has a pom pom around the bottom of it.

His belt has a cute gold buckle and the base says Ho Ho Ho...

His beard, mustache and hat band are textured...

2x4 crafts are my favorite, I just love to look at a 2x4 and find a way to turn it into a cute crafty!!!

Vintage Ho Ho Ho Blocks....

Hubs and I made these cute vintage Ho Ho Ho blocks for some of our friends for Christmas this year:

We used two different shades of red and therefore, two different ribbons for the bows on top. This is #2:
They totally take me back to the old style Christmas look from my childhood :)

Pleated Book Page Ornaments. Great Neighbor Gift.

This years neighbor gifts.  I made book page ornaments:
                                                                                  Some have stockings on them.
Some have little santa hats.
I made a whole bunch of them and will be attaching them to bags filled with homemade chocolates. I think it's the perfect neighbor gift!

DIY Yarn Wrapped Wire Candy Cane Ornaments

Yarn wrapped wire candy cane tree decorations are a cute, easy DIY ornament for a Christmas tree or garland:

Even the kids can help make these:

They look darling when placed on the tree or a garland:

I embellished mine with some ribbon and a jingle bell but they also look really cute without any embellishments.

Fireplace Decorations...

I have three fireplaces and not one of them has a mantle (insert frowny face here).  It's definitely on my to-do list and I have big fireplace place renovation/update plans.  Just not for today...  Anywho, since I don't have a mantle, I always decorate my hearth:

It's such a fun time of year for decorating, and the fireplace is a terrific spot to really have fun with :)

Easy Friend/ Neighbor Gift....

My December plate of the month is a perfect gift to give adult friends, neighbors and co-workers:

It's super easy to make. Wrap it in some cellophane (make sure to include an easel for it) tie the cellophane with a cute ribbon and add a cute gift tag and you're done!

Altered Hot Pink and Zebra Striped Coat Rack...

I found this stuff at Walmart awhile back:

So I bought this:

I painted it hot pink with a sugar coat of glitter, added the zebra Peel and Stick, blinged it up with some rhinestones and ta-da!!!

It's perfect for my daughter's room!!!  I still have a TON of the peel and stick left, so I will be using it on many more projects to come :)

2x4 Thanksgiving Crafts...

Hubs has been recovering from surgery, which means that I've lost my wood man.  He is the one that normally cuts, sands and preps my wood.  I was dying to do some Thanksgiving crafts, so I headed out to our scrap pile and found a few discarded 2x4's that didn't need any cutting.

First, I made this darling Pilgrim boy:

Then I made a Turkey:

I used a balloon for his gobbler :)

Finally, I made an Indian boy:

Sign From Old Board

My sis built a beautiful home a few years back and has been working on their game room/bar area.  For her birthday, Hubs and I made her this wall hanger sign using some old weathered boards:
I spray painted and sanded the old boards and used my Silhouette Cameo to do the words and then used the negative portion as a stencil. When the lettering was dry, I gave it all a really good sanding and then drilled holes and then used the wire to hold it all together. I'm so in love with old boards and signs!

I hope she loves it and that it looks great in her bar!

Wedding Gift Sign...

The first of my 19 year old daughter's best friends from school got married this past month (YIKES!), so I made her this gift to give her:
Obviously their last name and wedding date...

I hope they loved it and wish Mr. & Mrs. Shields a lifetime of love, health and happiness!

Ghoulish Halloween Dinner Party...

Every year me, my sis and our mom put together a fun Halloween themed dinner party.  Here a few pix from this years party:

I made place cards with each guests name on it and one for each food item..

Up close of one of the place cards...

I made a menu...

We always have fun names for the food...

The "bloody eyeballs", precooked...

"Infected Eyeballs", precooked...
After we pulled them out of the oven...

The rest of the food:

The Food buffet:

The place settings.  I didn't have enough place mats, so I found a roll of wrapping paper that had raised velvet designs, I bought that and then just hand cut out the number that I needed...

A couple of the food placards up close:

It was a really fun day.  After eating, we did our annual pumpkin carve.  I love our family traditions, we look forward to this event every year!

Super Easy Halloween Decorations...

Here are a few Halloween Decorations that took 30 minutes or less to make:
Mummy Jar.  Just take any size jar, wrap it in gauze, glue at the bottom and top and glue on the googly eyes. Place one of those push button lights in the bottom and it looks super cute in the dark :)

Witches Hat.  I just bought a cardboard one from Michael's.  I painted in in the black and purple glitter paint, then glued  a glitter green spider and black tulle bow.  All done!

For the glass ghost and pumpkin, I just bought the shaped glasses that I wanted to use at the Dollar Tree and then cut shapes in vinyl on my Cricut and put them on.  I filled each with appropriate colored "stuffing" and that's it!

All were EASY SNEEZY and look very festive :)

A few Halloween Monsters....

I noticed that one of my old posts removed the pictures of three of my past Halloween projects.  Boo to Blogger for doing that!  Oh well, I will just re-post them :)

                                                                               My cute Chunky Frankenstein.

                                                                                             Chunky Mummy.
                                                                                                Tall Mummy
These were all super easy to make.  Who doesn't love a cute monster?!
