Summer Plaque...

Another quick summer decoration:

Lemonade 2x4 Craft...

I love 2x4's!  I wanted to make a few new summer decorations for my June hutch, so I dug through our scrap pile and found a few extra 2x4's.  Here's what I did with them:

Repurposed Frame

I've had this old frame for years, the glass broke a long time ago and I never replaced it.  The frame was a cherrywood brown color and I've hung on to it forever knowing that I was going to do something with it.  I finally got around to it.  I didn't think to take a before picture, but here is the after:

I painted and antiqued the frame, then I added chicken wire and made the burlap LOVE banner.

I figured out what pictures I wanted to use and added some embellishments to a couple of them and I also added some fun felt embellishments to some paper clips because I didn't want to use clothes pins.That's it!  So easy and a fun way to display family pictures.  It will also be easy to change them out when I want to:

Decorated Jewelry Gift Box...

For Mother's Day, I needed something to put my birds nest necklaces in and I wanted it to be super cute so I got a few of these:

And then I pulled out some cute coordinating scrapbook paper, my mod podge, some flowers and buttons and did this to them:

Much better than wrapping paper or a gift bag!

DIY Birds Nest Necklaces...

For Mother's Day gifts, I made these cute birds nest necklaces:

I picked beads that matched both my children, and all of my nieces and nephews birthstones.  This one is my kids, because I only have two kids, I added the heart as a filler egg in the nest:

This one represents my brother's two kids:

My sister has 3 children, therefore her necklace didn't need the filler heart:

I made my mom three necklaces, one for each set of grand kids.  They were pretty easy to make and look really cute on as well!

Vinyl Decor on Refridgerator...

I've been really bugged about the fact that magnets don't stick to the front of my fridge.  It drives me crazy to not have it decorated!  I've been stewing on it for awhile now.  Here is how I resolved the problem:

I got out my vinyl stash and found that I had a few that would go perfectly.  I slapped them on and instantly felt better about it, LOL!

Happiest Place On Earth...

Taking a break!  We are going to visit our beautiful daughter in Orlando for a week.  She has been doing an internship at Walt Disney World working in a gift shop on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.  I'm so excited to see her and for my Hubs and our son to get to experience Walt Disney World, neither have been there before.  I'm not organized enough to have pre-scheduled any posts or guest posts, so I'm just taking a break and will be back at it in about 10 days.  I hope you all have as much fun as I intend to, I can't wait to catch up with you all when I get back!
